Thanks to all the friends, family, neighbors, and writers who attended our Open Mic reading at the beautiful African Fiesta Cafe. Several talented poets read including Judith Vasquez, David Davis, and Cecy Arreola. Some great guitarists played, and we totally enjoyed singers JuJu and Mindy Chanson. Thanks to Erika Martinez for bringing the original paintings “Dark Lantern” and “Tlatelolco” to display. Thanks, Peggy, for a wonderful night of art, fun, and food.
